Alberto was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes. He is a dual degree candidate for the Master in Real Estate Development and Master in City Planning at MIT. He joins the Urban Economics Lab with over six years of experience in large-scale housing developments in Colombia. He´s currently also an entrepreneur and passionate about the housing markets in Latin America, seeking to address the evident gaps in housing policy formulation and the challenges facing the private sector’s strategic deployment to enable quality and equitable housing.
